Rebecca was born in Albany Kentucky in 1961. Her family moved in 1966 to Bedford Indiana to find work in the stone quarry. They attended Old Chapel Hill Church. In the fall 1974 Rebecca was 13 years old when she got saved and baptized at on old fashioned tent revival. Attended Needmore Elementary, Oolitic Junior High and a 1979 graduate Bedford North Lawrence High School.
1980 – 1990 Rebecca worked at Indiana University Residential Services.
On Sept 19, 1980 she married Gregory Keith Eads they have 2 children Brandon born June 1985 and Kara born April 1991. 1 grandson – Braxton born in 2009.
1992 – 2002 Rebecca worked for Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.
In 1996 the children was invited to attend Awana, and they loved it! Shortly after we joined the church. Rebecca attended Children’s Ministries Institute in 1989. She became active in children’s ministry and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
2002 became the Children’s Ministry Director where she currently serves. Currently over all the children’s programs: Kids life groups Sunday 9:30 am, Kids Church Sunday 10:30 am, S.P.L.A.T.( Sing, pray, learn and tell) Sunday 6:30 pm, Awana Wednesday 7:00 pm, Bible Blast Wednesday 7:00 p.m., Nurseries, Kid’s Musicals, V.B.S., Holiday events and outreach programs.
Currently serving on several outreach events in the community: Child Evangelism Fellowship as the director for the Needmore Elementary Schools Good News Club, Safe Night Committee member, and Indiana Awana Ministry Team Member.
It is a upmost importance that our children be safe and secure while in our care.
All our volunteers are screened and trained in Child Protection policies.
In 2014 Our Children’s Ministry is changed to Crossroads Kidzville: An exciting, energetic fun place where kidz feel loved and belong as they grow learning the word of God, praising Jesus, and serving others in a fun way. .
